A Witches Journey: spells, gratitude & pay it foward

The journey of embracing my inner WITCH came from seeing the magick in nature. The moment I acknowledged my plants to be magickal is when this blissful opening of the WITCH inside of me came Alive.

I begun to find holistic ways to be present & grounded, to be mindful, to look into thyself and be aware of the magic all around us. You become appreciative, you don’t take anything for granted that the earth and mother earth has given us.

My ancestral pandora boxes began to open up. I began to gather my gardening skills, herbal knowledge, intuition, and plant medicine and joined these skills together. I begin with creating a blog, which took me many endless days with no sleep! I self taught my media knowledge! I created my blog on mental health, to sharing love letters and now my witches magick! My blog has become a combination of all the magick and journey’s that make up who I am!

In sharing my smoke-bundles with the world has become an honour. I find grounding through creating spell-jars, smoke-bundles, sometimes fairy lands, mystic bath salts and many other inspiring crafts.

Each night I cleanse myself & space with a new mantra each time. I end my day in gratitude to help ease the chaos of the day. I want to always try to stay present within me so my spirit can continue to grow.

I take evening walks to observe and be connected to nature. I gather tools such as; juniper, pine and cedar, to add these to my spells or crafts.

Juniper is magickal in its scent, energies and its herbal magick! Juniper is so pretty due to its space & berries. The juniper represents in strength, carries wisdom, is useful in magick & health, and stunning. It can survive harsh weather and with very little water.

Pine is known for the hearths & home protection. Pine holds its colour all year round and is a beauty during a snowfall. It represents healing, protection, cleansing, and money. Burning pine needles brings protection to your home. Having pinecone s throughout the home wards of evil entities.

Cedar is known to repel negativity and bring in purity. It is as sacred as white sage. It helps the hearth and home balance. It clears your shadow and brings in a sense of grounding. Cedar is often burned during prayer and chanting.

Grounding spell:

  • Gather cedar on your walks and bring it home. Place a few branches along the doorways and at your altar.
  • Gather your cauldron or burner and place a charcoal disk. Light the disk and place one clove, piece of pinecone, small amount of cedar and s piece of cinnamon.
  • Allow it to smoke up and move the spoke around your self, space and outside under the moon.
  • Light a orange candle and state: mother earth embrace me with you magick to be able to share the brightness that shine within me with those around me.
  • Mantra: I am here for self snd others. I embrace the acts of kindness and paying it forward.
  • Then one day this week pay it forward to a stranger with a tea or coffee or food.
  • This will bring in grounding, abundance and gratitude. Make sure to explore with your herbs, flowers and begin manifesting and documenting your magical spells/ dreams and hopes.

I wish all of my followers a wknd that brings in new beginnings, moving forward, happiness and a tranquil heart!

Bless Be: So mote it is🖤

Cleansing: creating a magickal Hearth & Home

Adorned smokebundles

🏹🗝 Smoke cleansing was traditionally used in Europe in much more secular times. In the 14th and 15th centuries, people burned rosemary in their homes as a means to protect themselves from bubonic plague and other contagions. Into the 20th century, French doctors recommended burning rosemary and thyme in sickrooms and hospitals to purify the air. They also recommended herbal smoking mixtures to address respiratory problems. These herbal blends would be burned on charcoal or thrown into a heating or cooking fire to fill the space and be inhaled.

🏹🗝There are many different smokebundles available in my shop for many different daily rituals. Always begin with meditation music on and take a moment to set your intentions. These intentions always need to be good positive manifestations for yourself and others.

Free-Spirited smoke-bundles

🏹🗝With smokebundles when lighting them, having the window open helps ignite its flame, let the bundle smoke for 30secs & then blow it out. Having a feather to wave the smoke & continue its flame as you cleanse your space. If it doesn’t stay lit then squeeze the middle to allow air circulation and this should allow it to smoke out longer.

🏹🗝When your smokebundle’s end is fairly black, trim that off and squeeze the middle of your smokebundle so it gets some air to begin its flame again.

🏹🗝You can also use your smokehundle outside to share with the universe or walk around your home. The outside air will flame up your smokebundle
so be mindful of that! Just a few tips on managing smokebundles!

🏹🗝Yerba Santa is traditionally used as a smoke bundle for protection and setting boundaries. Yerba Santa has also been used to support love, purification, growth, empowerment, beauty, and the release of emotional pain stored in the heart chakra.

🏹🗝Smokebundles come with the intention of happiness, self-fulling creativity, focusing on arts & painting. Looking inward and finding your inner child again. Being carefree to experiment without judgement.
🏹🗝To be in spirit of your soul, to dance as no one is watching and to laugh till your belly hurts! As we age we tend to forget yo be child like and often take life too seriously!!
🏹🗝All my bundles smell incredible, are created with intentions, to cleanse space & self. I adde to all of them patchouli essential oil and lavender essential oil!

Wiccan Magical Moments: Witchy TIPS

Smokebundles: Cleansing self & space

Hello my Readers!

I have been on a journey since I created the blog and have ended up running my own spiritual shop. I am still working with young people in mental health and will continue to share info. I have not been on as frequent and truly time has not allotted me to do everything plus have time for MYSELF!

I have always struggled with mainstream religion, as I feel it is ultimately used to manipulate humanity. In saying this I do believe in Mother Nature, Earth, Creator, Universe and all of its wonders! The magic is all around us and it’s beauty is pure but religion is not pure in my eyes due to the fact they inform you, who you should be, act, and dictate the rules & orders and so forth. I have branched off in embracing Universal Creed and embracing just nature as the answers are right there for us all.

I have deeply connected with the MOON and the SUN. Most of us pass our days without a thought of their presence and great powers. The Old farmers Almanac is based on astrological knowledge to help guide the farming season.

Let’s begin understand the phases of the moon! The lunar cycle begins when the moon lies between the sun & the earth so the illuminated side cannot be seen from the earth. The moon gradually waxes until it has moved to the opposite side of the earth, and its kit faces us in the full moon phase. The entire cycle takes one month as the moon orbits the earth. As I have said the EARTH is so MAGICKAL.

Moon Phases and it’s magick:

  • Phases 1: New Moon: This is a chance at a new beginning. It goes you a fresh start and you should set your intentions towards what you would like to change, do or include. This is as simple as having moved to a new city and wanting to make new friends, well during the New Moon is the perfect time set that intention. (Gather a colour of any size, your favourite incense, on a new moon possibly on Friday Freya’s as this Goddess is ruled by Venus which brings in fun, love, and good times. Light your candles and incense, inhale the smoke with 5 breaths. Say out loud: I call upon you, friend Freya, to fill my life with love & joy. I call upon you GODDESS, To bring unto me that which I enjoy in the form of people, wise and kind. This I ask and give thanks for, blessed be)
  • Phase 2: Waxing Crescent: This phase actually happens 7 days before and after the New Moon. This is the time for productivity and creating positive energy. During this phase you most likely felt the urge to do, make changes or cleanse your space. You may have just not notice!
  • Phase 3: First Quarter Moon: This is when you feel stronger vibrations, intentions and intuition. If you were to stand soaking the moonlight you would feel the connection of the Moon’s vibration stir your energies, singing to our flowers and herbs. They grow through not only the sun but by the moonlight shining on them through the dark evening.
  • Phase 4: Waxing Gibbous: You will feel an increasing excitement and energy. In this phase you should celebrate the growing light, new growth, positive change and setting intentions. (Mantra: Good gods and goddess, giver of all fruits of this earth, Thank you for all bounty, beauty, and well-being. Bless all who give and receive these gifts. I am made of sacred earth, purest water, sacred fore, and wildest wind. Blessings upon me. Blessings upon we and thee. So mote it be)
  • Phase 5: Full Moon: It is a great teacher and with great messages each moth for us all. This is when you should practise gratitude and letting go of what no longer serves you. This is when you should recharge your crystals, make moon water, and use your smoke bundle outside under the moonlight and be with Mother Earth. (Make a tea with 1 teaspoon of each: fresh ginger/jasmine leaves/peppermint leaves. Infuse all of these in a teapot and have a warm cup of this infusion. Step outside under the moonlight at midnight and have our tea under this enchanted hour in the company of the Full moon)
  • Phase 6: Waning Gibbous: This is the moment of reflection, understanding lessons given throughout this month. Make the changes needed and adjust what is needed during this time in the cycle of the moon phases. You will feel strength through this and calmness in your heart (Place three drops of lavender/ 2 of rosemary/ 3 of bergamot/ 2 of jasmine and place in a carrier oil. Then use this tincture during this phase on your wrists, behind your ear lobe, base of your neck and behind your knees. Close your eyes as you stare into the moon and chant: Bright moon goddess, eternal and wise, give your strength to me now. As I breathe, you are alive in me for this night. Health to all, calm to me. so mote it be)
  • Phase 7: Last (third) quarter Moon: This is the time to acknowledge release, forgiveness and understand that life is not perfect. This is the time to cleanse space at home as well as yourself. Making your own smoke bundles with evergreens/herbs/flowers that connect with you or connect with those who create these smokebundles authentically and not in mass form as they lose the intentions of love and genuineness. This is a time to forgive all people, rid of negativity, letting go as LIFE is short. Pay attention when we are in this moon phase as you will notice that is when you are much more forgiving and making amends with friends and loved ones. (Gather a purple candle/hibiscus essential oil and bouquet of purple flowers: On a Monday at midnight place a few drops of the essential oil in your candle and light your candle. Place your bouquet of flowers by the candle. Chant: Any care and despair begone. here with the mountain, the river, the tree, the grass and the moon. I receive my strength from nature and she is my centre. Tomorrow and the next, all gladness will enter. Harm to none, only good)
  • Phase 8: Waning Crescent: This is when the cycle ends and restarts. This is when you sit in darkness and reflect on the months journey. Listen to your heart and align your journey with your goals. You need to look at releasing anything that no longer resinates with you, may that be friends/family or a job. Create a plan to accomplish big changes gradually and to avoid lots of stress/anxiety. Embrace the mindfulness of gratitude, listening to positive music, creating affirmations, embracing positivity and a rejuvenated attitude for the beginning of the new phase.

I will leave you with a meditation to listen to throughout the days, weeks and months. The power of through any difficulty is through us. We are truly the magick and are powerful in making the necessary changes to our lives no matter how difficult. It definitely does not mean it will be easy but it will be worth it. This is a magical world, you need to intently see, hear and listen as the earth whispers to us all their messages for us.

I hope you enjoy this different blog that is bridging the context of my Instagram & Etsy shop! Make Monday the beginning of a new journey that embraces kindness, love and patience with others!

With Love & Light,

LucyLu

Witches creating magick in our Hearth & home

Cauldrons: potions, mystic, and spells

Cauldrons: ETSY: journeywithspirit72

Cauldrons:  It is a symbol of rebirth, transformation, and wisdom. Linked to the goddess, Cerridwem, Taliesin and Dagda. Cauldrons have always been magical in bringing friends & families together to celebrate festivals & events & magick. It is created in a cast iron that has been used for decades and is long lasting as is LOVE. Cauldrons have been reclaimed by witches that create magical moments by connecting through their creativity, herbal magick and celebrating humanity first. The world of witches wholeheartedly believes in connection & community.

Lets now manifest through the goddess mentioned here:

  • Cerridwern: This Celtic goddess was multifaceted. She rules the moon, magick, nature, and astrology. She will always nourish you through embracing the magick of the cauldron.
  • Dagda: In Celtic mythology, Irish god of fertility; husband of Brigit or a goddess. He possessed a magic cauldron that could feed the whole earth. Sometimes he is called the Lord of Great Knowledge because he possessed all wisdom.
  • Taliesin: Cerridewern, mother of the poet Taliesin (and perhaps therefore a patroness of poets). She possesses a cauldron in which a magical wisdom-granting brew can be concocted.  Taliesin is a mythical figure, and one of the greatest Welsh poets. The story of the mythical Taliesin – whose name means “Radiant Brow” shows the esoteric arts of poetry-to stir the cauldron of inspiration.
Smokebundles: cleansing space at ETSY: journeywithspirit72

Here are many ways to use a cauldron:

How to burn incense, in a cauldron on a charcoal disc: Fill a heat proof incense bowl or censer with something like sand or split. This will provide some much-needed insulation for your burner. Charcoal can burn at a high temp. Form a cone shape with whatever medium you filled your burner and place the charcoal tablet at the peak. This will allow air to flow around the charcoal. Place a charcoal tablet on the sand and light the edge. If it’s self-igniting charcoal you will see tiny sparks as you light it and it will ignite quickly so never hold it in your hand! If you need to hold the charcoal over an open flame to ignite it, use tweezers or tongs to hold it. Place your charcoal in your burner with the hollow facing up. Use the “bowl” to hold your incense ingredients. Wait until the charcoal is glowing red hot and is covered with greyish-white ash. When ready sprinkle a pinch or two of incense (e.g., resin, dried herbs, etc.) directly on top of the hot charcoal. The incense will begin to smoulder. Be careful not to place too much incense on the charcoal or you may smother it and you’ll have to start over. When the smoke begins to thin out, add more incense. The charcoal will stay hot enough to burn incense for about 45 minutes to an hour.

Moon Water is considered magical and sacred for pagans, witches, and anyone interested in Nature Spirituality. It’s similar to consecrated Holy Water in Christianity and is frequently used for cleansing and purifying rituals. There is a delicate and intimate connection between the Moon and water. Up to 60% of the human adult body is made up of water, and the Moon can affect our body the same way it does the ocean’s tides and the weather. Moon Water is any water that has absorbed the energy of the Moon during ANY phase, although it’s most popular to place it beneath a Full Moon. You can choose when to place water beneath the Moon, depending on your intention. You can even pack an extra punch by placing it under the Moon during an eclipse, meteor showers, or monthly Full Moons for specific intentions or manifestations. Here’s a quick guide for your reference.

New Moon Spiritual Intentions: You can still charge water beneath a full moon because it is still there even if you can’t physically see it.

Waxing Moon Spiritual Intentions

Waning Moon Spiritual Intentions

How to make moon water:

  • Fill a glass container (or non-plastic vessel) with water of your choice. This is a sacred and spiritual practice, so remember to slow down and focus on your intentions and how you plan to use your Moon Water.
  • Take a moment to meditate quietly with the container of water close to your heart. Visualize your hands sending warm loving thoughts into the container. Focus and fill it up with your gratitude and kind reflections.
  • If you’d like, you can write your intentions on a piece of paper and place them underneath your container. Get creative and draw your own unique sign in placing a crystal to increase intentions as well.
  • Once finished, leave your container to soak up the energy and light of the Moon. Remember to thank the Moon and show her your gratitude for her lovely and beautiful energy. Collect your jar the next morning before the sun rises.
