The rebirth of an Imbolc celebration…

A share of some facts…

💕Imbolc is a pagan holiday celebrated from February 1 through sundown February 2. Based on a Celtic tradition, Imbolc was meant to mark the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.

💕The celebration of Imbolc dates back to the pre-Christian era in the British Isles. The earliest mentions of Imbolc in Irish literature were found in the 10th century. Poetry from that time relates the holiday to ewe’s milk, with the implication of purification.

💕It’s been speculated that this ritual stems from the breeding cycle of sheep and the beginning of lactation. The holiday was traditionally aligned with the first day of spring and the idea of rebirth.

💕Imbolc celebrations took the form of a festival in honor of the pagan goddess Brigid, who was evoked in fertility blessings and oversaw poetry, crafts and prophecy. Brigid was worshipped by the Filid, a class of poets and historians among the Celts of ancient Ireland and Britain.

Today it’s celebration are:

🖤Gather your items for seeding, planting and preparing for your spring gardens.

At the same time look within you and begin to seed change. To look at what needs to go and what no longer serves you.

🖤Cleanse your home. Welcome a new year with letting go of things no longer needed and rearrange your home. Sweep it out and complete a spiritual cleanse.

Look within and cleanse the parts that needs to be released. Begin your healing process. Allow rebirth in your mind, body & soul.

🖤During Imbolc take a break from social media and allow enlightenment without distractions. Be present in the celebrations.

Acknowledge what are your influences. Acknowledge what no longer serves you. Begin to make positive changes to allow a higher vibration.

🖤Honour the warrior that lives inside of you. Allow it to bring you strength, courage and resilience.

Create a journal that concentrates on manifestation in guidance of the lunar cycle. Begin your rebirth journey into a new refreshing year of harvesting.

Cleansing ritual to eliminate negativity

How to begin self reflections & healing with a spring clean:

💕When you’re looking at creating a space, cleansing space & eliminating the negativity that surrounds you….. you need to always look within you first.

💕You need to look internally, and heal yourself.

💕Because if you are not in love with yourself, you are not able to love others in a genuine & unbiassed way. As their will never be enough and you will always question their love but not if you love yourself cause that will always be enough.

💕If love does not begin with you: those moments, those trips, those friendships, those relationships, those things that you purchase….. will only sustain your happiness for small moments and you will be back where you started.

💕Begin with finding gratitude each morning & each night, journal your thoughts of positivity, and let go of the things that no longer fits you.

💕We are all able to find happiness within us, but it must start with us. We are the magic. We are the founders of our happiness.

💕This is something you need to work towards daily.

💕Eliminate those illusions through the shows you watch & the people you follow…. Everyone behind the curtains has a story you do not know about. Be honest with yourself and do the WORK!

Bless be….

Witches creating magick in our Hearth & home

Mystical, magickal MOTHER EARTH:

A month filled with mystical, magickal moments through the connection of spirit. Through our harvesting season we connect with the earth in a gratitude manner. You appreciate the food you are able to source. You begin cutting, sealing and packaging your fruits of labour… to be stored for the winter season soon upon us. To have witnessed a seed turn into seedling into a plant and than food is a mystical moment.

In these moments, I am reminded of our ancestors and of their knowledge passed down to us. We are always connecting to the land in a holistic way. The soil that you touch helps ignite your hormones to produce your serotonin, which in-turn helps manage depression.

We are able to grow our own medicines through plant medicine all there for you to reconnect and learn and connect with the magick among mother nature. Mother nature is here for us all no matter race as we each are a part of this land.

Bringing us towards the celebration of Samhain which honours ancestral love, land connection and new beginnings. Before we get deep into this stage of the wheel… let us acknowledged this beautiful season called fall. Look around and take notice of the bright red tops of the trees that shines among our bright sun, which gives our sunsets a golden red/pink. These are moments to cherish!

To see nature gathering their foods, storing and eating so they can hibernate for the winter. I often see squirrels digging through my soil to hide their nuts, and each morning they arrive again to dig them out and eat! Though they make such a mess it is a pleasure to witness their work!! They add to our ecosystem and keep the cycle of nature moving.

I am in love with the sound of the wind and its dance, as you connect your body to the wind around you, you move in a dance, as the trees sway with the winds present.

When you get up and take that brisk walk it heals you and calms your thought as nature heals. Begin to give mother mature your attention and your views will never be the same!!!

The beauty of the sky embraces your smile, the forest heals your soul, the flowers cheer up your heart and the animals keep you grounded.

With Love,

LucyLu
