A Witches Journey: spells, gratitude & pay it foward

The journey of embracing my inner WITCH came from seeing the magick in nature. The moment I acknowledged my plants to be magickal is when this blissful opening of the WITCH inside of me came Alive.

I begun to find holistic ways to be present & grounded, to be mindful, to look into thyself and be aware of the magic all around us. You become appreciative, you don’t take anything for granted that the earth and mother earth has given us.

My ancestral pandora boxes began to open up. I began to gather my gardening skills, herbal knowledge, intuition, and plant medicine and joined these skills together. I begin with creating a blog, which took me many endless days with no sleep! I self taught my media knowledge! I created my blog on mental health, to sharing love letters and now my witches magick! My blog has become a combination of all the magick and journey’s that make up who I am!

In sharing my smoke-bundles with the world has become an honour. I find grounding through creating spell-jars, smoke-bundles, sometimes fairy lands, mystic bath salts and many other inspiring crafts.

Each night I cleanse myself & space with a new mantra each time. I end my day in gratitude to help ease the chaos of the day. I want to always try to stay present within me so my spirit can continue to grow.

I take evening walks to observe and be connected to nature. I gather tools such as; juniper, pine and cedar, to add these to my spells or crafts.

Juniper is magickal in its scent, energies and its herbal magick! Juniper is so pretty due to its space & berries. The juniper represents in strength, carries wisdom, is useful in magick & health, and stunning. It can survive harsh weather and with very little water.

Pine is known for the hearths & home protection. Pine holds its colour all year round and is a beauty during a snowfall. It represents healing, protection, cleansing, and money. Burning pine needles brings protection to your home. Having pinecone s throughout the home wards of evil entities.

Cedar is known to repel negativity and bring in purity. It is as sacred as white sage. It helps the hearth and home balance. It clears your shadow and brings in a sense of grounding. Cedar is often burned during prayer and chanting.

Grounding spell:

  • Gather cedar on your walks and bring it home. Place a few branches along the doorways and at your altar.
  • Gather your cauldron or burner and place a charcoal disk. Light the disk and place one clove, piece of pinecone, small amount of cedar and s piece of cinnamon.
  • Allow it to smoke up and move the spoke around your self, space and outside under the moon.
  • Light a orange candle and state: mother earth embrace me with you magick to be able to share the brightness that shine within me with those around me.
  • Mantra: I am here for self snd others. I embrace the acts of kindness and paying it forward.
  • Then one day this week pay it forward to a stranger with a tea or coffee or food.
  • This will bring in grounding, abundance and gratitude. Make sure to explore with your herbs, flowers and begin manifesting and documenting your magical spells/ dreams and hopes.

I wish all of my followers a wknd that brings in new beginnings, moving forward, happiness and a tranquil heart!

Bless Be: So mote it is🖤

Florida water: making it yourself

Florida water is a plant based cologne made by infusing flowers, herbs, and spices in alcohol. Because it carries the essence of the plants, it’s often used like holy water to cleanse spaces, purify intentions, and enhance spiritual practices.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 orange peel
  • 1 lemon peel
  • A handful or two of fresh herbs of your choosing (i.e., mint or basil or rosemary or all)
  • 1 cinnamon stick or a handful of cloves (optional)
  • Fill the jar half way with distilled water not tap water and add of your ingredients and then fill the rest of the jar with vodka.

Method:

  1. Combine all your ingredients into a amber glass container and seal it.
  2. Replace the lid and gently swirl to combine. Store in a cool, dark pantry or cupboard for 40 days, shaking once a day.
  3. Strain the ingredients through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer and store the Florida Water in an airtight glass bottle.
  4. Crystals can be used to amplify the water’s energetic properties. After making your Florida Water and straining out the herbs, place 1 to 2 water-safe crystals (amethyst, quartz, citrine, carnelian, or obsidian) in the water overnight. In the morning, remove the crystals and your energetically charged Florida Water is ready to use.

The uses of your Florida water:

  1. Offer it to your ancestors or guides on your altar in a bowl.
  2. Have some in a bowl nearby when communing with ancestors or guides and asking them for advice.
  3. Place a small bowl of Florida water on your altar as an offering of self-love.
  4. Wipe your mirror with diluted Florida water, and then do a self love ritual of your choosing in front of the mirror.
  5. Energetically cleanse yourself with Florida water by spraying it around you or putting a bit on your wrists.
  6. Energetically (and literally) cleanse ritual tools like your crystals with a bit of diluted Florida water to give them a refresh.
  7. Use it to cleanse your altar and anything on it by diluting some with water in a spray bottle and spraying on your altar, then wiping down.

I hope you enjoyed this information sharing blog! May you always find your light burning, may you always feel enlightened, may you always be able to find your peace and balance!

Bless be!

The rebirth of an Imbolc celebration…

A share of some facts…

💕Imbolc is a pagan holiday celebrated from February 1 through sundown February 2. Based on a Celtic tradition, Imbolc was meant to mark the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.

💕The celebration of Imbolc dates back to the pre-Christian era in the British Isles. The earliest mentions of Imbolc in Irish literature were found in the 10th century. Poetry from that time relates the holiday to ewe’s milk, with the implication of purification.

💕It’s been speculated that this ritual stems from the breeding cycle of sheep and the beginning of lactation. The holiday was traditionally aligned with the first day of spring and the idea of rebirth.

💕Imbolc celebrations took the form of a festival in honor of the pagan goddess Brigid, who was evoked in fertility blessings and oversaw poetry, crafts and prophecy. Brigid was worshipped by the Filid, a class of poets and historians among the Celts of ancient Ireland and Britain.

Today it’s celebration are:

🖤Gather your items for seeding, planting and preparing for your spring gardens.

At the same time look within you and begin to seed change. To look at what needs to go and what no longer serves you.

🖤Cleanse your home. Welcome a new year with letting go of things no longer needed and rearrange your home. Sweep it out and complete a spiritual cleanse.

Look within and cleanse the parts that needs to be released. Begin your healing process. Allow rebirth in your mind, body & soul.

🖤During Imbolc take a break from social media and allow enlightenment without distractions. Be present in the celebrations.

Acknowledge what are your influences. Acknowledge what no longer serves you. Begin to make positive changes to allow a higher vibration.

🖤Honour the warrior that lives inside of you. Allow it to bring you strength, courage and resilience.

Create a journal that concentrates on manifestation in guidance of the lunar cycle. Begin your rebirth journey into a new refreshing year of harvesting.

Cleansing ritual to eliminate negativity

How to begin self reflections & healing with a spring clean:

💕When you’re looking at creating a space, cleansing space & eliminating the negativity that surrounds you….. you need to always look within you first.

💕You need to look internally, and heal yourself.

💕Because if you are not in love with yourself, you are not able to love others in a genuine & unbiassed way. As their will never be enough and you will always question their love but not if you love yourself cause that will always be enough.

💕If love does not begin with you: those moments, those trips, those friendships, those relationships, those things that you purchase….. will only sustain your happiness for small moments and you will be back where you started.

💕Begin with finding gratitude each morning & each night, journal your thoughts of positivity, and let go of the things that no longer fits you.

💕We are all able to find happiness within us, but it must start with us. We are the magic. We are the founders of our happiness.

💕This is something you need to work towards daily.

💕Eliminate those illusions through the shows you watch & the people you follow…. Everyone behind the curtains has a story you do not know about. Be honest with yourself and do the WORK!

Bless be….

Mystical, magickal MOTHER EARTH:

A month filled with mystical, magickal moments through the connection of spirit. Through our harvesting season we connect with the earth in a gratitude manner. You appreciate the food you are able to source. You begin cutting, sealing and packaging your fruits of labour… to be stored for the winter season soon upon us. To have witnessed a seed turn into seedling into a plant and than food is a mystical moment.

In these moments, I am reminded of our ancestors and of their knowledge passed down to us. We are always connecting to the land in a holistic way. The soil that you touch helps ignite your hormones to produce your serotonin, which in-turn helps manage depression.

We are able to grow our own medicines through plant medicine all there for you to reconnect and learn and connect with the magick among mother nature. Mother nature is here for us all no matter race as we each are a part of this land.

Bringing us towards the celebration of Samhain which honours ancestral love, land connection and new beginnings. Before we get deep into this stage of the wheel… let us acknowledged this beautiful season called fall. Look around and take notice of the bright red tops of the trees that shines among our bright sun, which gives our sunsets a golden red/pink. These are moments to cherish!

To see nature gathering their foods, storing and eating so they can hibernate for the winter. I often see squirrels digging through my soil to hide their nuts, and each morning they arrive again to dig them out and eat! Though they make such a mess it is a pleasure to witness their work!! They add to our ecosystem and keep the cycle of nature moving.

I am in love with the sound of the wind and its dance, as you connect your body to the wind around you, you move in a dance, as the trees sway with the winds present.

When you get up and take that brisk walk it heals you and calms your thought as nature heals. Begin to give mother mature your attention and your views will never be the same!!!

The beauty of the sky embraces your smile, the forest heals your soul, the flowers cheer up your heart and the animals keep you grounded.

With Love,

LucyLu
